Renuka Shahane is now turning a popular artiste on
Marathi Television. She has
been playing different roles in the reality shows. In the recent past we have
either seen her as a Judge or in the capacity of programme host in popular
entertaining programmes on different channels. One does not know, how she has
been managing her schedule; but, surely she has been keeping herself busy with
that sweet smile that is welcomed by one an all.
Renuka now hosts a new reality show 'Sangeet Khurchi' on E-TV, with involvement
of couples from among the celebrities. The manner in which she presented them
all in the first episode, speaks a lot about her skillful presentation. She has
always been a popular programme host in the past on the national network right
from 'Surabhi' days; now, the only difference is that today she presents them
independently. With her presence as programme host, she is sure to invite more
and more audience for her programme.
Incidentally, E-TV have also come up with a new reality show
'Naad-Khula'
presenting Neha Pendse as the show anchor. In her new role, Neha has been doing
extremely well in the company of judges like
Mahesh Kothare and
>Sonali Kulkarni.
But, the programme goes almost on the lines of 'Marathi Paul Padate Pudhe'(MP3).
Only difference is that it is inviting participation from national level and not
necessarily encouraging only local participants from Maharashtra only, which MP3
did successfully.
During the week, IBN Lokmat News channnel presented a unique couple- Dr. Smita
Kolhe and Dr. Ravi Kolhe, renowned social workers, in their 'The Great Bhet'
programme. Host Nikhil Wagle took them down memory lane to recall all strange
experiences faced by them while treating people from remote areas. Recalling one
such moment during his stint at Melghat, Dr. Kolhe was in tears while narrating
one such tragic happening. Ms. Kolhe also talked about the strange experiences
she had while attending to some deliveries in remote adivasi areas. It was
indeed a 'great bhet' to remember, after listening to both of them.
There wasn't much to take note of at the national scenario on the news channels,
except for the Sadbhavana Mission undertaken by Gujarat Chief minister Mr.
Narendra Modi and the controversy arising out of the leaders from Maharshtra
meeting him or speaking on the occasion. While some of the leaders here in Maharashtra reacted to the speeches of BJP leaders going against Maharashtra
state, there was also war of words between the two brothers heading two
different political parties in Maharashtra. It began with the visit of one of
them to Gujarat and ended with the issue of photos of potholes on Mumbai roads.
Such a war of words is likely to be seen more on television screens in near
future, till the elections of Mumbai Municipal corporation.
In the marathi TV serials section, 'Lakshya' a Police detective serial on
Star
Pravah continues to invite the attention of enthusiastic audience with a liking
for such themes. 'Guntata Hriday
Hey' at 10.30 pm on Zee Marathi has been able
to hold on with the audience during the week. Among the other entertaining
programmes, the reality shows still continue to dominate on all the channels.
