SAAM TV offers quality talk shows
Saam Marathi
This week Saam TV offered a useful talk show 'Family Doctor Club' with Dr. Shri Balaji Tambe, who spoke on consumption of healthy food and water. The programme presented by Madhurani Gokhale Prabhulkar invited questions from the viewers of this programme and Shri. Balaji Tambe was more than happy to remove their doubts and convincing them about the consumption of pure Ghee in daily food intake. "It's a myth that Pure Ghee increases cholesterol. If you have to believe that then even consumption of polluted water may increase cholesterol," he said.

Emphasizing the purity of water he said that it is always better to use alum to purify contaminated water, so that impurities settle down and the upper layer can be filtered and boiled for drinking purpose. "Even water has a mind and we need to purify it too so as to mix well within our body," he added while talking about purity of blood inside our body. Dr. Shri. Balaji Tambe has already invited the attention of many disciples from all over the world, to his theory of quality living and quality food habits. He has been successfully conducting his workshops at his Atmasantulana Village, off Lonavla, where he emphasizes on Holistic living through Ayurveda.

But, his interaction with the viewers from different parts of Maharastra at the same time was something special about this programme. While answering to one of the questions raised by a lady from Kolhapur about her unstable health with occasional palpitations , he suggested her to take Ashwagandha mixed with a tea spoon of Pure Ghee and honey. For all those who feared heart ailments, his suggestion was to pray to Sun god. "Do Suryanaskaras and Pranayamas daily and listen to good music for atleast 10 minutes daily," he advised.

Saam TV also offers another quality talk show in the form of 'Madhura', where popular programme host Smita Gavankar, makes all those guests from different fields comfortable. The programme has presented well known Maharashtrian personalities and this week's guest was actor Swapnil Joshi, who opened up his heart on certain issues involing relationship with people around him. Besides talk shows, Saam TV is also making a headway into Marathi serials. 'Hi Vaat Door Jaate' is one such serial inviting attention of TV viewers. But, they have to improvise on their news broadcast with more investigative stories and public interst topics, through breaking news.

During the week the other Marathi News channels talked about Navaratri Celebrations and the traditional Dashera rally held by Shiv Sena at Shivaji Park. Many channels covered the speech of Sena Chief Balasaheb Thackeray live; but this year's speech was not provocative, as it used to be in the past. Surprisingly, he did not make any comments on his nephew and his party. The Sena Supremo only raised his voice against the move of separating Mumbai from Maharashtra and opposed to the change of name of Dadar railway station. He also criticized the close associates of Anna Hazare and said that though Anna Hazare was honest in his approach, his fight against coruption would not be successful. The news channels also covered the reaction from Anna Hazare, who preferred not to pay much attention to such utterances by the aged politician.
