"Keep aside the logic"
This is the only way to enjoy this mad mad comedy
offered by Kedar Shinde and his gang.
In a long while, I haven't seen a movie like
'Jatra'. This is an out & out masala entertainment and
that's it, Nothing else.
This is the kind of movie which begs not to be taken
seriously. You might find people complaining about
lack of lagic and stroyline but take my word for it. A
movie like 'Jatra' doesn't require these things to keep
you entertained. It has many more things for that
purpose.
This movie can be compared with Kedar's plays like
Sahi re Sahi, Locha zala re and TV shows like 'Hasaa
Chakatfu'.
The movie has no storyline and yet it manages to
capture your attention.Kedar has pulled all the tricks
to esure that viewers remains engaged. The events take
place at such a fast pace that you hardly get time to
think at all. The dialogues are another plus point of
this film. One must give the credits to all the actors
who have given such energetic performances. The movie
belongs to Bharat Jadhav, Vijay Chavan and Siddharth
Jadahv.
The movie has two catchy songs and both are hit all
over Maharashtra. The movie begins with an Item Number
by Ankush Chowdhary and the Kombadi Song in the
second half is simply hilarious. The movie is
technically slick.
I would like few words of caution though
-If what you seek is a sensible and intellectual
movie (Are there any?) then please please stay away
from 'Jatra'. Otherwise go ahead and enjoy this mad mad
comedy.
Afterall a healthy dose of laughter never does a
harm, you see.
