Avadhoot Gupte’s much awaited ‘Zenda’ will be hoisted soon during the month of January 2010. The film presents Avadhoot in multiple roles, such as Producer and director besides Lyricist and Music Composer. Just before its release, ‘Zenda’ has come out with two breaking news! The first one being- Ekapeksha Ek fame Mrunalini Mayuresh presenting an item number in this film and second one is that of Sa Re Ga Ma fame Dnyaneshwar Meshram singing the title song of the film.

‘Zenda’ is based on the frustration of today’s youth, who are confused with the changing political scenario in the state. These youths who belong to different sectors of the society have their own dreams but fall into a dilemma due to happening of an event in politics.

The film maker has tried to show how such situations in politics directly or indirectly affect their lives. The four youths are played by Aditya Mahajan, Umesh Jagtap, Santosh Shinde and Avinash Mohite. ‘Zenda’ also has other popular stars playing the roles of the much talked about political leaders in the state.
