"Picnic" is the story of today's youth, passion for life, possessed with competition and not willing to accept defeat. Sometimes possession overwhelms passion.

Anurag (Santosh Juvekar), Tanmay (Sushant Shelar) and Isha (Sai Tamhankar) are childhood friends. Anurag has always been a aggressive school and college hero, he is possessed of winning whatever comes his way, he loves Isha Passionately. Isha is a tomboy, as aggressive as Anurag. she has a love hate relation with Anurag. She loves his compassion for life but hates his possessive nature. For Anurag she has never been able to think beyond good friendship. Tanmay is their peacemaker, he has been balancing their aggression to maintain their friendship intact. Aniket (Rahul Mehendale) has joined their friend circle in college, he is a sober, down to earth person, he also loves Isha. Isha likes Anikets nature and knows about his silent un selfish love for her.

After finishing their studies Aniket has proposed marriage, and Isha accepted immediately. It is a month after Aniket and Isha's engagement. After retaliating their relation aggressively and emotionally, Anurag has ultimately accepted Isha's new relation with Aniket. Tanmay has got them together again. Anurag has decided to leave the country forever and settle abroad with his father, but before going he wants to give one last treat to his friends. A one-day picnic.
