Based on Anant Samant’s popular novel ‘K-5’, a new Marathi film ‘Wavtal’ has been made by Producer Balasaheb Argade, which is directed by Shivaji Patil. The film is now due for release. Incidentally, the Hindi version of this film titled ‘K-5’ is also being made separately.

The theme of ‘Wavtal’ is based on the existing reality in the society, where corruption has reached the grass root level. The film stars many versatile artistes from Marathi stage. Prominent among them are Ashok Samarth, Tejaswini Pandit, Mukesh Tiwari, Vinay Apte, Sunil Shende and others.

The film has been shot at various places in Rajasthan with the special effects work in post production completed at Chennai.
