| Synopsis: |
'Tandala'- The mask is a movie about a woman who is given the status of a goddess the moment
she is born. Based on a novel by Suresh Dwadashiwar, the story revolves
around a character in the novel, 'Sonasala', a woman bound by traditions
and values of the society. Being proclaimed as a goddess, she is not
supposed to keep company of men. She is made to suppress her womanly
wishes and not allowed to have any sexual desires. Bound by traditions
and the living under the mask of a goddess, 'Tandala' is about a womens
struggle. |
